Supporting Innovation and Diversification for Farmers & Landowners

14th September 2017

The Farm Business Innovation Show is returning to the NEC in Birmingham on the 8th and 9th of November and is designed to help farmers, landowners, estate owners and rural entrepreneurs find everything they need from inspiration to execution to diversify their business and increase their profits. The event is free-to-attend and is truly unmissable for anyone in the rural industry looking to grow their profits through exciting new streams of income.

Diversification in rural business does not mean turning your back on your traditional farm or business, but rather adding to it or adapting it to make sure that your business not only survives but thrives! This is especially true in the current uncertain economic climate that Brexit has created for UK businesses. Luckily, the opportunities for diversification are nearly endless, and while they can initially be daunting, they can also be an exciting undertaking. The Farm Business Innovation Show provides insight and inspiration covering a huge area of options, from installing solar panels, to opening a glamping site, to hosting weddings or festivals or even branching into alternative crops or livestock just to name a few! The event also plays hosts to some of the top experts in the country on the logistical side of diversification such as grants, planning permission, taxation and legal advice.

The 2017 seminar lineup is second to none with 200 seminars from expert speakers such as Michael Eavis of Worthy Farm and Glastonbury, Tom Amery of The Wasabi Company, Stephen Jones of The British Quinoa Company, Geoff Sansome Head of Agriculture for Natural England and Doug Gurr the UK Head of Amazon, among many others!

We are also pleased to announce that we have several interactive debates taking place over the 2 days, all of which will have the best industry professionals divulging their thoughts on hot topics such as planning permission, social media, succession planning, weddings, equestrian business rates, and glamping. Plenty for you to learn and get involved in!

Your free ticket to the Farm Business Innovation Show will also give you full access to its sister shows: Holiday Park & Resort Innovation, Country House Innovation and the Family Attraction Expo. As always the shows bring together all the tools and resources, and advice, in order to put rural businesses on the map in one of the most vibrant, dynamic, and competitive sectors in British business.
